Hello room 5.
I'm not sure if anyone checks the blog anymore seeing as the last post was in February, but I just wanted to say how much high school sucks!
Constant homework, long bus rides, and cold mornings.
I've only visited casebrook once, and am sad to say that our height chart in the girls cloakroom has been destroyed along with the rest of my hopes and dreams.
Since I'm too lazy to check the blog, (not very) Merry Christmas and a sad new year that will bring more homework and self hatred.
Also it's my birthday in 24 days, marking another year of non-existence for me. yay.

High school here we come
Hello,it's jacqui, aka ghetto queen jacqueeshah and I would just like to say (even though barely anyone will read this) that some of us start high school in 2 days. This means that we are officially not going to be a class at casebrook anymore. This is quite upsetting as we all made some really awesome friends and learnt a lot in our time at casebrook. I would like to thank mr Leith for being so great and teaching us lots. I think we should all be proud of what we achieved together, winning multiple awards around the school- swimming sports (twice in a row!) ,athletics day, cross country...the list goes on. As your school councillor I would like to congratulate you for making it through casebrook in our slightly crazy class.
Our casebrook journey is over now.
Goodbye, and may the odds be ever in your favour.

Show prep has started!
Recently we have started practicing for the show later this term. Our song is "we're all in this together" from high school musical.
Our dance is coming together really well and there is a high level of enjoyment all around, the dance teacher Natalie said we were easily the best class.
For a snippet of what it looks like at the moment, click on the link below.
**PLEASE NOTE** This is definitely not our best practice!
Staff v Student Netball Game
On Friday 1st August, the A+B mixed netball team versed the staff in a game of netball.
As you would think, there was quite a big height difference but the students persevered making some good intercepts, passes and shots, but so did (some of) the staff.
In the end,the teachers won 15-4, but team members from each team would beg to differ.
The real score was ?-6,but the staff did win either way due to Mr.Meads' amazing shooting skills.

Burning blue - A Book Review by Jacqui
Burning blue is a really good book that I read in the weekend and is set in New Jersey,USA.
It's about two people (mainly) who live In Two different worlds, really.one of them is a poor boy called jay ,who is an amazing 'hacker' . His dad is an obese art critic who doesn't earn much, and his mother died in the car crash they were in a couple of years back, hence why jay has to work at a warehouse called bj's part time, where he stocks and works out back. The other main character is a rich girl called Nicole, who has won many pageants and people think she's going to miss New Jersey! Her parents are split up and she lives with her mum,but sky pets her dad and has 'dates' with him every so often.
She has a boyfriend, the lead wrestler for brandywine hollows high school, Dave.after being late for a period hanging with Dave in the hallway,a 'recluse' squirts her face (one side of) with acid and jay vows to himself that he would find who did it,with the help of an old 'friend' called Angela, who he finds out is also a hacker. But the recluse is not who you think it is…

NASDA Yakkety Yak Performance
The NASDA yakkety yak performance was really, really good and that all the actors were all very talented at playing their parts. I think they were amazing in the aspect that they never ever even slightly went out of character. The way that they changed the songs around to fit in with the show, and the fact they did it all themselves made it even more enjoyable. It's sort of hard to believe that they based it off the rainbow fish, seeing as everyone enjoyed it so much being our age. I liked how they didn't use any props but instead their bodies and how all of them were so full of energy, which showed that they enjoyed it as well. I think if I had to pick the best actor I would probably pick the tiger, because you could tell that she tried really hard in all that she did on the stage. I would definitely see it again and it is most certainly worth spending money on to watch.
