Girls self defence

On Tuesday afternoon for the last 4 weeks some year 7 girls took a self defence course. We talked about a lot of things to do with self defence including what to do when your being followed and what to do when your attacked. We learnt how to kick properly and punch properly as well. Our teacher told us stories about brave girls stopping attackers.
We are now empowered to take over the world as strong independent girls of the 21st century.

Letters to Wrigley

Three of us wrote letters to Wrigley suggesting new bubble gum flavours. Caitlin M wrote asking for strawberry flavoured Extras. They wrote back saying they already had those. Emily wrote asking for orange flavoured Hubba Bubbas. They said they had already tried that but they stopped because they weren't popular enough. I wrote asking for lime Hubba Bubbas and they said they can't take any ideas from outside Wrigley. Oh well.

WIPEOUT

Yesterday we went surfing at Scarborough beach in Sumner with room 6. We first arrived to find Aaron and the team waiting to show us all the dos and don'ts of surfing and body-boarding. We all had a great time even Mr Leith had a go. Here are some pictures of us all having a good time!
