Room 5 Finalists in Interface Awards!
Room 5's Utopia project has made it throughout o the finals of the Interface Magazine (ICT in schools) teaching with ICT awards! The students worked really hard on this so it's awesome to have been recognized for their brilliance...

Oompher!
As an intro into our Knowledge Inquiry coming up we have starting gaining knowledge about the future pathways to careers and goals.
These have been via an amazing NZ website called Oompher. This is a really cool website full of inspiring NZers giving interviews about their background and stories that have helped shaped them as the leaders they are today.

Congratulations Tai-iba!
Tai-iba, winner of our school speech comp was the successful recipient of the overall prize in the Year 8 category of the Rotary speech competition, with her amazing speech on Child Slavery.
An amazing achievement to be proud of and Room 5 are over the moon for her success!

Isabella Gymnastics Success!
Isabella spent the holidays in Auckland, where she has been competing in Rhythmic Gymnastic Nationals.
She competed over two days, earning a 2nd for her clubs routine, and 2nd overall. So she got 2 silver medals. Awesome achievements Isabella!
