Melting Crayons

I had an idea for my Casebrook Challenge to do something creative. I searched on the internet creative ideas and I saw this picture of crayons at the top of a canvas. I clicked on it and wasn't really sure how to do it at first. I got my canvas and stuck all the difference colour crayons on it and got something hot to melt the wax. I used a hair dryer to melt them, but first I had to actually set up so I put newspaper all over the ground, not sure if the colours would flick off everywhere. I started to melt the crayons and of course they ended up getting all over the ground and the cupboards. At last I finished and I thought it turned out better than I expected :)

Yesterday at rutherfords den we were taught about the interesting life of Ernest Rutherford by role play, also we went round tables and explored some of the successful life of other famous people. Like Kate Shepard, Sir Edmund Hillary and others.

Constable Matt Reeves!

We were extremely fortunate to spend a morning learning about law and order courtesy of Alex's dad, Matt.
To say the students enjoyed the visit would be a massive understatement! Half of the classroom seem to have been recruited for police college when they are old enough!
