Michael's Monday

Today I woke up at 8:00am we ate breakfast I had toast . We have an activity everyday today I was on the high ropes there were some very difficult obstacles to climb up upon . My favourite one was called the hugger bouyes there were tons of bouyes dangling In front of you whilst you balance on a tight rope it was challenging . Tomorrow everybody is doing two activities I'm doing coasteering and kayaking it will be very exciting and a great first experience I'm tenting with my friend Ngakita , our tent is very messy . We play in the creek all day and we play cricket can't wait to come home

Wainui Camp Day 3

Our third day on camp was the busiest one. A full day of activities in beautiful sunny conditions.
The class have got stuck into everything with real enthusiasm and a keenness to try new things which have really impressed the instructors. Kayaking, High ropes and Coasteering, with the latter the highlight for most.
Another walk down to the wharf for jumping after the legendary Casebrook spaghetti bolognaise meant the last of the energy reserves were used up. Needless to say the kids were quick to sleep.
Today we are packing up and tidying up which is not an easy feat considering the tired nature of these 30 adolescents.
There will be a bunch of tried kids on return to chch. All will have ringing in their ears from the cicadas and many stories to tell.
Alex has his birthday today too!

Made it to Little River!

Wainui Day 1

Our first day has been a busy one of exploration and getting the know our camp.
Our walk in was beautiful yet challenging for all and fortunately the weather has held off and we have been able to set up and settle in amongst the sunny surrounds of Wainui.
First meal done and ice creams served!
"The walk was tiring and scenic" Caitlin Mac
"Camp is pretty cool but I'm tired" Caitlin N
"Camp is fantastic" Claudia
"I'm looking forward to coasteering" Max
We are ending the day with a walk to the beach and a few lively ones plan on jumping in this evening.
All are well and no tears as of writing!
